KSJT is the National Weather Service WSR-88D weather radar for San Angelo, Texas. It stands in Tom Green County, about 12 km south-west of the city centre.
The NWS San Angelo forecast office, at 7654 Knickerbocker Road in San Angelo, is responsible for the radar, and the NWS owns it. The Radar Operations Center's site table lists the RDA location as San Angelo, and the NWS radar list gives the antenna elevation as 2,004 ft.
Before the WSR-88D, San Angelo had a WSR-74 radar. The reference list of those radars gives it a commissioning date of October 1977 and a retirement date of 22 April 1997.
Radar shows rain, snow and hail, not cloud, and nothing below its lowest beam; far from the antenna the beam passes high above the ground.
