KLZK is the National Weather Service's NEXRAD weather radar for Little Rock. The antenna stands in North Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas, about 10 km north of downtown Little Rock and 4 km from Sherwood. The NWS Little Rock forecast office, itself in North Little Rock on Remount Road, maintains the radar; its radar code is LZK.
The radar is a WSR-88D owned by the NWS. NCEI's archive of its data begins in April 1994, when Wikipedia says it was commissioned. The Little Rock office is responsible for 47 of Arkansas's 75 counties.
Radar shows rain, snow and hail, not cloud, and nothing below its lowest beam; far from the antenna the beam passes high above the ground.
