KJKL is the Jackson, Kentucky weather radar, a NEXRAD WSR-88D operated by the National Weather Service. The antenna stands at the NWS forecast office in Jackson, the county seat of Breathitt County in eastern Kentucky, and that office is responsible for it.

The office's virtual tour says the WSR-88D antenna was installed at the Jackson weather service office during the NWS modernisation of the mid 1990s, replacing a WSR-74S whose tower was dismantled once the new radar was operating; the new office building was dedicated on 1 October 1996. The tower is 82 feet high with a further 32 feet to the top of the dome. Wikipedia's NEXRAD site table gives 14 August 1996 as the date the data record begins.
